When Matt Lambert began construction on a three-story cabin deep in the wilderness of Colorado 25 years ago, he felt an immediate affinity to working with his hands. Since the creation of that detailed and sturdy cabin in the woods, not only did his enjoyment in construction never dissipate, it inspired Matt and his wife Tina to start their own company, Lambert Construction LLC.

Fortunately for Albuquerque residents, the Lamberts brought their knowledge, devotion and expertise to New Mexico where they have piloted the realization of countless home remodeling dreams. Married for 20 years now, Tina and Matt established the company on the same foundation of faith, love and trademarked ease that has solidified their own relationship. “Together, we can accomplish anything,” Matt declares.

That’s just as true when it comes to Lambert Construction. The Lambert team can tackle any area of the home and any size project. Already, the licensed, bonded and insured group has performed a diverse array of jobs — including wood flooring and tile, concrete work, exterior and interior painting, cabinets, countertops, kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions and custom decks with shade covers.

“We’re a one-stop home remodeling shop and we can take on a project from beginning to end,” says Tina. An interior designer, Tina is an associate member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and can help in any stage of the process. Her expertise helps customers choose the best cabinets and countertop surfaces, paint colors, tiles, appliances and more. Whatever the homeowner’s vision, the Lamberts are here to help.

To best understand client needs and wishes, Matt gets to know customers during a free, no-obligation initial consultation. He aims to understand not only the client’s vision for their space, but just as importantly, their budgetary guidelines. “I pride myself on my ability to truly listen to my clients — to hear what their needs and objectives are,” he says.

The Lambert Construction team can provide you with exceptional craftsmanship, promptness and attention to detail, notes Tina. “We can craft a stunning transformation with undivided attention and open lines of communication with the homeowner to ensure complete satisfaction for each job,” she adds.

In fact, to achieve satisfying transformations in good time, the Lamberts are careful how many clients they engage at any one time. “I limit the number of jobs I take on to make sure I have the time needed for each and every project and every customer,” says Matt. “It’s all about the details — I know I’ve done my job right when my customers are delighted and completely satisfied with every element of the project.”

As Tina explains, many of Lambert Construction’s customers often come back for more, “We have customers who will get a bathroom remodel one year and then the next year they’ll ask us about remodeling their kitchen,” she adds. “We try to do everything we can to make sure that whoever hires us is satisfied with what we produce for them. Matt and I are very conscientious about the end result and follow up. Every year we have been in business we’ve grown at an increased rate.”

And, the proof is in the reviews.

One repeat customer notes, “Lambert Construction removed a pergola and an old patio made of brick pavers, constructed a new concrete covered patio, replaced all of our exterior doors, installed 3 solar tubes, insulated our garage, removed the fireplace in our den and built a cornerstone and tile area for our wood stove. They later removed our ugly concrete kitchen countertops, without damaging our cabinets and replaced them with granite. For our last project, we had them remove a fiberglass shower stall and install a new tile shower stall. We could not be happier with Lambert Construction and highly recommend them. We found them to be professional, caring, careful, honest and trustworthy. We have had these improvements done over the last 3 years and would not have considered using any other company.”

Along with interior work, Lambert Construction has a patio cover division called INSTA-SHADE™ which offers customers Amerimax® products such as Alumawood™ and Equinox®. With these products — and the Lamberts’ expert work — customers can transform a humdrum backyard into a personal oasis complete with a kitchen, sunroom, patio cover or newly designed deck.

A strictly-residential contractor, Lambert Construction is authorized to install Alumawood™ patio covers which mimic the look of wood without the arduous maintenance. “Wooden patio covers, while popular for most homeowners, require a lot of upkeep and care. Alumawood™ aluminum patio covers aren’t like the ‘old school,’ awkward structures; I can install a cover that has the true look of wood and can be cleaned simply with a garden hose,” says Matt. “Plus, our Alumawood™ covers have a 1-2 day turnaround time for installation, so you can enjoy your outdoor space almost instantaneously.”

The newest and most innovative addition to their patio cover offerings is the Equinox®, a louvered roof system. These extruded aluminum louvered roofs offer the versatility of both an open and closed roof system, granting you control and comfort no matter the season. “This roof is pretty amazing,” Tina mentions. “You can add lights, ceiling fans, and have natural light come in. And if it starts to rain, you can close the roof and be free from the elements.”

INSTA-SHADE™ will interest homeowners that want a unique patio cover for their outdoor space. The company installs both insulated and lattice covers to let in warm, natural light. Each INSTA- SHADE™ cover, patio or sunroom is completely customized for each client. And to make the process go as seamlessly as possible, Matt will take care of submitting plans and applying for the necessary permits with government agencies and homeowners’ associations. He will also add electric, plumbing and other utilities needed to spruce up your space with an outdoor TV, lighting, a ceiling fan, or even a complete kitchen.

Tina explains that there are undoubted advantages to investing in remodeling projects, like kitchen and bathroom updates. “It’s an investment whether you choose to stay or go,” she states. “And more than likely you will get [a return on] what you’ve spent because people like a completed project. If you pick neutral shades, [rather than] something really bright and bold, then it will go with almost anyone’s taste. As a designer, I try to gear people towards a more neutral palette, as opposed to going with something bold and bright; although that is my taste, it doesn’t always sell.”

Lambert Construction’s design and expert craftsmanship have been recognized with numerous awards. Recently, their bathroom remodel was awarded the front cover of the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico Home Building and Remodeling Guide, wherein the company also took first place for a kitchen remodel and addition.
