Cindy Chapman and Bill Harris were so pleased with the kitchen remodeling project that Enchantment Cabinetry & Design completed in their home four years ago that when it came time to upgrade their bathrooms they knew which company to call.

“We felt very comfortable having the Enchantment Cabinetry & Design team in our home,” says Cindy. “They used excellent materials and the workers were wonderfully skilled and talented.”

Enchantment Cabinetry

& Design, owned by husband-and-wife design and construction team Sal and Lydia Lozano, specializes in remodeling residential and commercial kitchens and bathrooms — designing and completing projects that reflect each client’s unique personality and lifestyle. The company also produces its own line of custom cabinetry and are proud members of both the National Kitchen & Bath Association and the New Mexico Better Business Bureau.

The company’s showroom, located at 2025 Candelaria Road NE, is filled with home remodeling products, including in-house designed and constructed cabinets, water- and mold-resistant shower and tub surround installation options, butcher block surfaces, and a variety of bathroom vanities, mirrors, appliances and tile.

Sal and Lydia have more than 25 years of experience in the home-improvement industry. In fact, you might say that cabinet making is in Sal’s genes. He started learning the trade by working side-by-side with his father and master carpenter, Sal Lozano Sr.

“What sets us apart from our competition is we’re able to coordinate the project from start to finish,” says Lydia. “We’re able to do the plumbing, electrical, cabinetry and countertops, so we are basically a one-stop shopping experience for our clients who are interested in remodeling their space. Our customers deal with us directly, so they’re not having the extra stress of working with multiple contractors.”

Lydia says that working one-on-one with clients has brought in repeat business and new customers through referrals. “It’s not uncommon for us to complete a remodeling job for a client and then end up doing work for their family members, friends or co-workers because of a recommendation,” she explains. “All of us here take that as a compliment.”

Another thing that sets Enchantment Cabinetry & Design apart from the competition is that the company owns its manufacturing facility for cabinetry, notes Sal.

Enchantment Cabinetry & Design’s cabinets are built with wood hand-selected by the company’s carpenters, crafted to meet a customer’s specific requirements. For example, a set of cabinets can include storage devices such as pullout spice racks, solid wood utensil drawer inserts and stands for mixers. The company also offers a large variety of stains and painted finishes, such as classic white, as well as

designer glazes.

“We also have our own fabrication facility for granite and quartz counter tops,” says Sal. “We try to keep as much work as we can in-house, which helps pass on additional savings to our clients, being that there is no middleman to drive up the price.”

By including touches like custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and/or beautiful hardwood floors, Enchantment Cabinetry & Design can help homeowners create their dream project, says Lydia. “And if you don’t see a sample of what you want in our showroom that fits your remodeling needs, Enchantment will custom make one for you,” she adds.

For customers who aren’t sure how to get started on their remodeling projects, an Enchantment Cabinetry & Design representative can come to the customer’s home, listen to their ideas and then use a computer program to render a 3-D drawing of what their kitchen or bathroom will look like once the project is finished. And best of all, the drawing, consultation and estimate are all free.

“A lot of our clients like the convenience of having a company that’s going to coordinate their project day by day,” says Lydia. “It alleviates some of that stress that remodeling can bring.”

What’s currently popular in kitchen and bathroom remodeling? Lydia says many customers are opting for brushed brass fixtures over those with high shines and neutral color schemes such as grays and whites. She says homeowners are choosing to go with less flamboyant shades that will be more palatable to potential buyers if the residence is some day listed on the market. She also notes that transforming empty space like nooks into coffee bars or bookcases is trending.

Enchantment Cabinetry & Design is locally owned and operated, and Sal says he appreciates his clients because they help support the local economy. He adds that most of his clients are choosing to remodel portions of their home rather than move into another home because they “are doing it for their own pleasure.”

Enchantment Cabinetry & Design, which can handle any size remodeling project, has 12 employees, all of whom take pride in the quality of their work and the products the company provides, notes Lydia.

“We design projects that reflect our clients’ personality and lifestyle,” adds Sal. “At Enchantment Cabinetry & Design, we make sure that every job is completed and that our clients are happy with the quality and craftsmanship throughout for many years to come.”

To get started on your upcoming project, visit the Enchantment Cabinetry & Design team at their showroom, which is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on Saturday by appointment only. You can also call them at 884-9600 to arrange a free estimate and design.
