It was the middle of July, typically the hottest month of the year in Albuquerque. Many people across the metro area were sweltering in their homes, even with air conditioners turned on. Retired Rio Rancho secretary Judith Brunk and her husband, John, however, were cool and comfortable in their home thanks to Axiom Home Services. The company recently installed a new heating and cooling system and replaced their water heater.

“When Mario LoPrinzi, owner of Axiom, came over to give me the estimate, he was so thorough and he explained things so well,” says Judith. “The first thing he said when he looked at our old system was, ‘This is too big for your house.’ And right away I thought, well, he’s not going to try to sell me something I don’t need, which is something the previous company did. Plus, to top everything else off, he was cheaper than anybody else who gave us an estimate. That really helped a lot.

LoPrinzi, who has been in the heating and cooling business for 40 years and started Axiom in 2009, specializes in selling Trane heating and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial applications. The company also does duct work, furnace installations, seasonal changeovers of evaporative coolers, installs tankless and standard water heaters, and provides air purification systems like CleanEffects, which is also produced by Trane.

“It’s a wonderful product,” LoPrinzi says of CleanEffects. “It mounts underneath a furnace and it purifies the air in the entire home like hospital quality air. For people with allergies or asthma or respiratory issues, it’s invaluable. It will change their lives.”

Axiom is a top Trane dealer in the five-state region that includes New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. It also has an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau, continues to get glowing customer reviews online, and has such a large following that about 60 percent of its business now comes from referrals.

“We understand no one likes to have to spend their hard-earned money on heating and cooling repairs or upgrades,” says LoPrinzi. “We also know that when you do have to spend that money, you want to know you got your money’s worth. At Axiom Home Services in Albuquerque our mission is to provide you the best heating and cooling service possible. We do this by having the best trained staff of technicians performing installation or repairs using the highest quality equipment.”

The Brunks can vouch for that. They say the four-man crew that installed their new heating and cooling system finished two hours ahead of schedule “and cleaned up everything,” says Judith. “You’d never know they were there.”

“I am very happy with the new system,” she continues. “Particularly with this heat we’ve had. The whole installation was so smooth.”

LoPrinzi credits a big part of his company’s success to product knowledge because he says “the consumer depends on my recommendation to educate them and provide them a product that will fit their needs and that’s how I approach all my sales. When you listen to reviews about how I came out, I don’t do sales, I do education. I own the company so they tell me what product they need or what their needs are. I tell them the product that’s going to fit that need and I put a number on it. To me that’s not sales, that’s education.”

LoPrinzi also says his technicians “do a lot of training to stay on top of the new technologies, the new products, the new ways of doing things if they fit our environment here in Albuquerque. If you don’t invest in yourself how are you going to deliver a quality product when you don’t know what the product is?” he asks.

Axiom offers “no strings attached” free consultations, a 365-day guarantee “to put your mind at ease that we provide honest heating and cooling services,” and a five year guarantee on all parts and labor. “We believe a job isn’t done unless it is done right,” LoPrinzi says. “Those are the words we live by at Axiom.”

For more information, call Axiom at 792-9742 and speak with LoPrinzi’s wife, Melody, who enjoys answering the phone with “How can I make your day better?”

“Once you’re part of this family, you’re family forever,” LoPrinzi says of his customers. “From the initial consult to the installation with the crews — five, six years after the installation, when you call us, we’re still here. You’re still part of the family. We’re here to make things right.”
